Ismail Abadan Mehr
Dr. Ismail Mehr has been nominated as FIMA Relief chair by the FIMA ExCo and duly endorsed by FIMA Council. He will assume its charge in January 2015. He is the immediate past president of IMANA and chair of IMANA Relief. He is a Board Certified Anesthesiologist, Chairman of Department of Anesthesiology, and Medical Director of Operating Room Services, St. James Mercy Health System. He is a life member of Islamic Medical Association of North America (IMANA), Chairman of IMANA Relief Committee, Member of IMANA Executive Council, and former General Secretary of IMANA. Dr. Mehr has served on many Medical Relief missions of IMANA, including Indonesia Tsunami-March 2005, Pakistan earthquake- October 2005, Gaza War in January 2009, Haiti earthquake in January 2010, Sudan Save Smile Surgical Mission in March 2010-15, Pakistan floods in August 2010, and Bangladesh Burn relief camp 2015. He is also a member of Board of Directors YMCA, Hornell NY.
