The news that has been coming out of Gaza in the last few weeks has been
harrowing, but developments in recent days are particularly concerning. A letter
allegedly signed by 100 Israeli doctors (Ref 1) asking for Gaza hospitals to be
bombed is unthinkable.
As doctors and medical professionals, we take the Hippocratic Oath, and the
preservation of human life is paramount to what we do. It is horrifying to see
that Israeli doctors seem to be advocating the opposite.
