It is with much sadness and grief that the FIMA fraternity learnt of the demise of our beloved brother, AlMarhum Dr Abdul Hamid Qudah on the 29 September 2021.
He was one of the pioneers of FIMA’s HIV/STD project since 2005. He initiated the Train the Trainers course which was aimed towards raising public awareness especially among the youths about HIV/AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STD). He pivoted his strategy of the prevention of HIV/STD on a model of teaching and training with the underpinnings of educational, moral and spiritual values.
He travelled widely to share his ideas and FIMA’s global project on Protecting The Youth Against HIV/STD.
It was his HIV/STD program in Tanzania in 2012 which encouraged them to join the FIMA family.
Al-Marhum Dr Abdul Hamid obtained his PhD in microbiology from the United Kingdom in 1982.
He was actively involved in the management of the Islamic Hospital, Amman Jordan. His passion for health education, among others was also channeled through the Al-Afaf Charity Society in Amman, Jordan.
O Allah! We bear witness that our beloved was truly a Murabbi who devoted his life for Your Noble cause.
O Allah! Grant him Your highest ranks amongst the Syuhada and Solihin in Jannatul Firdaus
