Alhamdulillah, today we saw the launching of Virna Glaucoma Implant invented by our very own sister Dr Virna Dwi Oktariana.
The device is the first of its kind to be commercially produced in Indonesia by PT Rohto Laboratories Indonesia, expected to sell 30% less than other existing implant in the market. The research and development started from 2015, with research grant from Australia and Japan.
We are made proud of our sister. May this inspire more local inventions to benefit the public widely.
