FIMA HIV-AIDS Awareness Program: Update of Activities

New HIV/AIDS activities were conducted during February through May 2014 led by FIMA expert, Dr. Abdul Hameed Al-Qudah (Jordan) has been encouraging and widely acknowledged.  A 3 day (certified) course on HIV/AIDS youth protection was held in Johannesburg and Durban, South Africa, in collaboration with: Muslim AIDS Program (MAP) and Islamic Relief-South Africa. The theme was “Protecting our youth from the consequences of Immorality”.

The participants were represented from all religions and races. These included   Welfare/social workers,   religious leaders, doctors, healthcare professionals and teachers.

During March-April-May, 2014, several youth leader camps were organized in Jordan, Tunisia and Malaysia.  Since the inception of this FIMA project in 2005, more than 10,000 local community leaders have been trained to work voluntarily in their youth centers, schools, universities and mosques.
