FIMA Relief 27 Ramadhan 1432

27 Ramadhan 1432 / 27 August 2011

Dear Brothers and Sisters

Assalamu Alaikum!

Trust that you are all spiritually elevated after this evening’s celebration of Lailatul Qadr insyallah and the near completion of a month of fasting, personal sacrifices and supplications.

We pray that Allah (SWT) accepts all our prayers and deeds Insha’Allah. This has indeed been a very moving and emotional period in various parts of the world: Syria, Libya, Gaza, Somalia, to  name but a few.

We were all touched by the moving and compassionate words of Br Ihsan during his recent visit of the Somali capital, Mogadishu. We are inspired by the passion of Br Ismail Mehr as he prepares his teams to meet the health and humanitarian relief challenges in Somalia. We are proud of our brothers in AMU who have quietly continued their emergency care of the casualties of the Libyan uprising which has resulted in victory for the people but at considerable cost.

We wait with watchful expectancy for the resolution of the conflict in Yemen and Syria and the return of peace, democracy and transparent and just governance.

And, finally, but above all, we pray for the liberation of Al Quds and the freedom of all our brothers and sisters, mothers and fathers and children in various parts of occupied Palestine!

We commend all those participating in relief projects in these various parts of the world (DWW, Mercy Malaysia, IMANA and PIMA in Somalia), AMU in Egypt/Libya, IMASA in Gaza, IMANA/Islamic Hospital in Amman, Jordan. We pray that your good work is accepted and relieved of its burden!

Hope to see you all in Jakarta soon!

Eid Mubarak to all!
