Yemen Relief

Dear Brothers and Sisters
Assalamu Alaikum

We trust that you are all in good health and spirit Insha’Allah. The already impoverished population of Yemen has valiantly stood up to protest against the human rights violations of their ruling government.

As the ground swell grew in numbers and support and spread across the country from Sana’a, the authorities reacted with more violence and aggression leaving behind hundreds dead, thousands injured and many more displaced from their homes.

Yemen is a disaster zone with critical shortages of water, sanitation, essential services, health care, electricity to name but a few. The injured are treated in private facilities scattered across the country including Sana’a, Ahrab, Nehm and Taiz.

Their health services require the following specialist services to cope with the health burden in existing structures: general, orthopaedic, vascular and neurosurgery to name but a few disciplines. We will keep all in informed as the disaster unfolds.

Kindly support their field hospitals and other health services. Prof Husni Al Goshae from the University of Science and Technology (UST) in Sana’a will receive and host all volunteers offering their medical services. Kindly coordinate medical missions of surgeons to assist our colleagues who are battling with the overwhelming number of complex injuries. We pray for their ultimate triumph and liberation and may we be guided in our response to their needs.

Thank you very much for your support.
