Dear Brothers, ASA I would like to summarize DWW-Turkey's relief activities in Palestine/Gaza (past, present and near future) for your dua and moral support:

Doctors Worldwide Turkey has been actively working in Gaza since 2006. We have been providing essential aid to the suffering families which are in need of medical aid in this region through our tailored programmes. Since 2006 Doctors Worldwide Turkey responded to the attacks on Gaza.

In 2007, a trauma and radiology center was established in Gaza-Khan Yunus Nasser Hospital with the cooperation of Deniz Feneri Association of Turkey. In the scope of this 600.000 USD project, a computer tomography, X-ray machine, operation tables, mammography and ultrasound equipment were bought and installed.

In 2009, 230.000 USD worth medicines, medical supplies and medical equipments needed for radiology, laboratory and intensive care units were sent by DWT with the cooperation of Deniz Feneri Association, Isra Association, IHH- Germany and Hüdayi Foundation of Turkey. 12 ambulances, 2 of them are equipped with intensive care facilities, were handed over to the Ministry of Health of Gaza.

DWW is carrying out “Smiling Children” project in Palestine (West Bank and Gaza) since 2007. It is a project that aims to treat congenital cleft palates in children. In the framework of this project, also another congenital abnormality called hypospadias is operated and repaired by DWW’s volunteer urology teams.

In the scope of the project since 2007, 14 teams consisting of approximately 8-9 specialists and nurses were sent to Palestine to give service to the people of Palestine.

From 2007 until now 2358 examinations and 547 surgeries were performed in branches such as plastic surgery, urology, neurosurgery, pediatric surgery, obstetrics and gynecology and general surgery.

On 23 June 2012 our 15^th mission will arrive to Gaza. This large team of 17 people is consisted of 9 medical and surgical specialists from different fields accompanied by Vice President of Council of Higher Education Prof.M. A. Yekta Saraç, members of Council of Higher Education Prof.Dr.Mehmet Şişman and Prof.Dr.Harun Cansız, Undersecretary of Ministry of Finance Naci Agbal and Undersecretary of Ministry of Education M. Emin Zararsız. The President of FIMA, Dr.Parvaiz Malik will join our team to serve the people of Gaza as well.

Our specialists will be performing medical examinations and surgeries in Nasser and European Hospitals while the other guests from the Council of Higher Education, Ministry of Finance and Ministry of Education will be attending the graduation ceremony of the students of Gaza Islamic University for the term 2011-2012. The team will meet with the President of the University concerning topics on how to develop the education system of the University, student exchange programs and what the Turkish Education system could offer. It is expected that an affiliation agreement between the two parties to be signed.
