This is a short summary report about a conference in Kuwait on March 26-28, 2015, under title:
PHYSICIANS’ ERRORS AND RESPONSIBILITY
vOrganizers: Islamic Organization for Medical Sciences (IOMS), with its record of discussions and publications in the area of medical bioethics and in Islamic Medicine.
vCollaborators: Islamic International Fiqh Council, WHO, Muslim Word League.
vParticipants: Physicians / scientists and scholars in Jurisprudence Fiqh, from many countries (Arabic Language used).
My presentation was titled the same as the theme above.
Main topics discussed:
( 1 ) Physicians errors – An overview.
( 2) Medical and Fiqh perspectives on physicians’ errors in:
§ Internal Medicine.
§ Surgery, including: Plastic surgery.
§ Anesthesia.
§ Obstetrics and Gynecology.
§ Psychiatry.
(3) Confidentiality.
(4) Situations where there is exemption from obtaining informed patient consent.
(5) Contemporary Law Standing on medical errors.
(6) Malpractice insurance, including the relatively new concepts of:
§ Mutual (or joint) solidarity-based.
§ Arbitration-based.
(7) Recommendations of the conference.
These concepts may be subjects for future FIMA conferences.

In this section, we shall relay any relevant information and answer most concerns regarding immunisation, especially from an Islamic point of view.
